What will the teacher certification requirements be for your school?.
We have three requirements for teachers at Faith Foundation Academy 1) That they be a Christian 2) That they have a gift for teaching children and 3) That they have a four year college degree.

How many students will be in a class?
We are limiting the class size to 15 student to each teacher at Faith Foundation Academy.

Will Faith Foundation Academy ever expand beyond the fourth grade?
At this time we are planning on adding grades as students advance in grades and register for classes. If we have enough interested students to provide another grade we will consider adding that grade.

Will you teach a split class?
Yes, there may be a 1-2, or 3-4 split if it will allow another class grade to be added. However we will still maintain the 15 student to 1 teacher ratio.

What will your school year calendar be?
We will follow the same schedule as the Ohio County Public Schools. This includes snow days, holidays and school year length.

Snacks and Lunch

Preschool and kindergarten students are provided a snack each morning at mid-day; these snacks are donated by parents on a rotating basis. Students in grades 1-4 will provide their own snack and lunch. No lunches will be served or snacks provided for these grades.

Medication / Illness Policy

Any student who must take medication (prescription and non-prescription) during the school day must bring the medication in its original container to the school office with a note from his/her parent or legal guardian requesting that the medication be given. This note should include time and amount to dispense. All such medications will be kept in the school office and returned home at the end of each day. Arrangements can be made in the school office for any student requiring daily maintenance medications.

It is important to the learning environment of the school as well as the health of the other students that your child is well when he/she comes to school. Therefore, if your child is ill and contagious, he/she must not be brought to school. If your child has been ill, he/she should be fever free and not vomiting or have diarrhea for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
